
Nigerian singer and songwriter Davido has opened up about his FIFA World Cup performance gesture and protest.
Recall that during Davido’s FIFA World Cup performance, he appeared in a customized clothing of the names of recently abducted Uyo school children, raising incredible bar for reactions and awareness.
Speaking about this during his BBC interview session, he revealed that he concept was to alert the world on what’s going on in Nigeria and also to push the government into taking a vital action to rescue the abducted children.
The “Gobe” crooner announced that in reality, there’s nothing to hide from the world as it’s highly odd for school children to be abducted and thrown into object suffering and torture while the government fail to rescue them.
He outlined that his power lies on music, which in turn revolts his voice against the government weaknesses. He detailed that portraying such in a global stage is only the only way he can lay his voice on the disturbing situation in Nigeria.
Nigerians couldn’t hold their nerves and reacted massively on all social media platforms according to their views.
Davido is known famously for his humanitarian attribute, which has dished an incredible view of philanthropy since he attained prominence.
