
Nigerian multi billionaire, Femi Otedola, has revealed the key reason he ventured into business even at the peak of wealth.
This he revealed while appearing as a guest on a viral podcast where he briefed his take on what drived him to start up a business.
According to him, he considered opening a business after his daughter couldn’t account for his vocation when someone asked her what her father does for a leaving.
Prior to this, he confessed to have invested so much in bank shares to the point that he saw no reason to work or take any risk, but when his daughter couldn’t account to his vocation, he decided to venture into business.
His words:
“I never planned to work again because my savings was earning 35% from Nigerian banks.”
“But when my daughter was asked in school what I do, she said: ‘My daddy sleeps every morning.’ That woke me up to start a business.”
To date, Femi Otedola has emerged to be one of the greatest and biggest African mogul to date.
