Nigerian Afrofuji sensation, Portable has voiced vital reasons why he would not speak against the ongoing toll of economic and insecurity turbulence in Nigeria.
While many celebrities are voicing out against the insecurity turmoil in Nigeria currently, Portable expresses phobia over the possibility of being arrested if he decides to speak against the insecurity operation in Nigeria.
He was, however, replying to the Nigerian UK based Rapper Skepta after he recently laid his voice over the insecurity turbulence and called for other influential names to join him.
Portable, in his view, outlined that Nigeria is not a place where one can align with freedom of speech as the government would do everything possible to persecute anyone thriving in that. He opined that he wouldn’t want to deter against the government as they may detain him if he speaks out.
Also, he added that people living outside Nigeria should instead do the talking as the government wouldn’t be able to arrest them, announcing his phobia over being possibly detained. The singer also expressed his frustration with the fate of the Nigerian economy and insecurity.
Nigerians couldn’t hold their nerves and reacted massively on all social media platforms according to their views.
“Skepta is saying celebrities should speak, did he want Nigeria government to pick us? They will arrest us if we speak up. We only need help. Nigerians in diaspora should speak up cause Nigerian government can’t arrest them. I’m only concerned about money.”
