A fresh chapter unfolds for Olefied Khetha as the South African artist revisits his sentimental record “iStep Father” with a powerful remix featuring rap heavyweight Big Zulu. Released on October 1, 2026, through Sony Music Entertainment Africa, the updated version gives the song an added layer of lyrical weight.
At the heart of “iStep Father (Remix)” is a story about responsibility, commitment, and stepping into a family role with genuine intention. Olefied Khetha delivers the song with his melodic touch, while Big Zulu brings his commanding rap presence to the record, reinforcing its message about a man willing to remain present and care for his partner and her child despite the absence of the biological father.
The remix maintains the emotional foundation of the original while introducing Big Zulu’s distinctive Hip-Hop approach. Its blend of South African Hip-Hop and Hip-Kwaito creates a sound that carries both musical character and a relatable storyline.
With the remix, Olefied Khetha expands on one of his notable songs and brings Big Zulu into a record built around family, loyalty, and stepping up when it matters.
