Rising Nigerian rapper Champz returns with “Groove,” a fresh hip-hop release officially out at midnight on September 25, 2026. The new track continues the young artist’s steady rise while giving listeners another look at the sound he is building for himself.
“Groove” leans into Afroswing and UK-influenced rap, combining rhythmic flows with a modern Afro-fusion edge. Champz had been teasing the record with snippets ahead of its release, creating anticipation among listeners across social media.
At just 14 years old, Champz, born Boluwatife Balogun, has already drawn considerable attention to his music. He was recently reported as the youngest Nigerian artist to surpass one million monthly listeners on Spotify, adding another milestone to his early career.
The release also follows his Young Poet EP, which arrived in March 2026 and featured tracks such as “Bad Guyz” and “Militia.” With “Groove,” Champz continues to explore his rap-driven sound while taking another step forward in his developing career.
