Nigerian singer and songwriter Davido was recently involved in a heated online dispute with an APC Supporter kahuturarara, who called him out for his recent World Cup gesture.
During his performance at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Davido performed with a customized shirt and Jacket consisting of the names Oyo abducted school children, calling for their release. This came weeks after armed bandit raided a school in Oyo and abducted the school children alongside their teachers. Since then, they have demanded a ridiculous view of ransom, which the government is yet to respond to.
Davido used his World Cup performance to call for the release of the children with his customized jacket, which didn’t sit well with an APC supporter.
In a video that has gone viral, he was seen vocally aggrieved as he condemned Davido for voicing out. He grumbled about Davido trying to tarnish the image of Tinubu’s administration and pubicly slammed Davido over his grief. Even though he expressed his frustration in his language, Davido didn’t sieze to reply.

The Gobe crooner simply quoted his viral video with “Debidoo” mocking the man’s accent. Also, he finalised by openly cautioning Nigerian to be vocal about the insecurity turmoil in Nigeria and forgo pirortising their political interest.
Nigerians couldn’t hold their nerves and reacted massively on all social media platforms according to their views.
