Nigerian Afrobeats star BNXN, formerly known as Buju, makes a surprise return with “Online,” a fresh record released on September 17, 2026. The song arrives as part of the rollout for his forthcoming project, Still In Charge.
“Online” explores the idea of stepping away from constant communication and social expectations to simply enjoy life. BNXN reflects on taking time off the internet, dealing with the pressure that comes with modern communication, and eventually returning when he is ready to reconnect.
The track serves as a major preview of BNXN’s upcoming six-track EP, Still In Charge, which is scheduled for release through EMPIRE on September 24, 2026. It follows his 2026 collaboration with Asake, “Eja Meja,” as the singer continues building anticipation for the new project.
The surprise release also came with a playful social media moment, as BNXN tagged billionaire Aliko Dangote on X and jokingly encouraged Dangote Group workers and shareholders to stream the song during work hours. The move quickly added to the online conversation surrounding “Online.”
