British-Nigerian rap superstar Skepta joins forces with Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Asake on an exciting collaborative single titled “Aloe Vera.” The record brings together two influential artists from different musical backgrounds, combining the energetic elements of UK rap with the infectious melodies of contemporary Afrobeats.
On this impressive collaboration, Asake brings his signature melodic delivery and captivating vocal style to the pre-chorus and chorus, creating an infectious hook that gives the song its identity. His contribution blends naturally with the record’s rhythmic arrangement, adding the distinctive Afrobeats flavour that has made him one of Nigeria’s most recognisable contemporary music stars.
Skepta complements Asake’s performance with confident rap verses and his characteristic UK grime influence. The combination of both artists creates an interesting musical exchange, connecting the British rap scene with Nigeria’s vibrant Afrobeats movement.
