
Nigerian singer and songwriter, Qing Madi, has finally addressed the heated record label battle she has been tackling silently that foresaw some of her songs removed from music streaming platforms, including Spotify.
The singer felt to address the speculations concerned with her alleged dispute with her former record label owner, Joy Tango, took to her TikTok handle and dispelled the situation.
According to the singer, her dispute with her ex record label owner was attributed with legal battles. In the viral video, she was spotted narrating that the record label owner has been going fought with her behind the scenes, trying every possible approach to distabilise her career and opt to clog her progress in the Nigerian musical realm.
The singer who opened up about the struggle she has been facing lately with the record label owner announced that even at the fate of his incoming tour, she has been fighting legal battles as Tango wouldn’t back down from aiming against her musical progress.
She disclosed that she accused her of several breachings and even advanced to the phase of removing her songs from several major streaming platforms, including Spotify.
Clearing off several speculations, Qing Madi confirmed that she has successfully parted ways with Tango while also revealing that she triumphed over all the lawsuit filed against her. The charges were cleared off by the law court over Madi’s age restrictions as Tango met Madi when she was underage.
Perhaps the incredible Nigerian singer grumbled about how far she went with independence to push her music to global reach as she would commit to writing her songs and promoting it on social media platforms despite being signed to a record label. She also accused him of stripping her off her royalties and playing a victim card.
Finalising her utterances, she gratified her fans and opined that this is the last time she would publicly speak about the situation.
