Nigerian Afrobeat singer and songwriter Davido has conspired to the ungoing insecurity turbulence in Nigeria following the view of his recent FIFA World Cup concert performance.
While performing at the FIFA World Cup concert, Davido appeared on the stage with customized names of the Oyo school kids abducted alongside their teachers by the bandits.
The jacket represented the current undefining situation of the abducted Uyo school children and their teachers who are yet to be released. It displayed a detailed view of the names of the school children kidnapped. Also, the back panel of the jacket was customized with the phrase “Bring them back.”” This he implemented on the government, creating the world awareness over the raising situation in Nigeria. He further clarified the concept, reposting his plea and titling it his call on his social media platforms.
This reflects the ongoing insecurity turbulence getting incredibly high in Nigeria as bandits and Fulani Herdsemen have developed the reputation of abducting civilians and demanding heavy Ransoms. In recent toll, Oyo school children were kidnapped alongside their teachers. Since the abduction transpired, the Nigerian army force has not rescued them even at the toll of an incredible threat from the bandits.
His gesture has sparked massive reactions amongst Nigerians as they react massively according to their views.
